El New York Times en mis manos

Hola chicas!

Top: The Nail Sensation @pamelapomelo
Wearing: Shimmer Polish Irene, hand-drawn decorations with white nail polish.
Bottom: Nailista @nailistayco
Wearing: Highlight of My Summer by China Glaze, stamping with Halo-graphic by Color Club with Mash-49  and the glitter is Cirque XX
En verdad he descubierto otro mundo y me he vuelto adicta a él!.

Z is for Zoya

Hi ladies! We have officially reached the end of the ABC Challenge hosted by Kimber's Lacquer Korner!!!! Yoohoo!!! For today's letter Z I chose Storm by Zoya. This is a black polish with a lot going on! Ever since you grab the bottle it'll make you fall in love with all those multi-dimensional holo sparkles. Look!

Hola chicas!

of course my pics don't do it any justice. It's one of those polishes that you really need to see IRL to enjoy. And below it is in the shade...The sparkle is a bit muted as you can see and it appears to be silver only...

On my accent nail I applied four (!!!) coats of Butter London Fairy Cake and one of Magic Hour by Cirque. Then I did something a bit weird but I think it turned out cool...I cut a piece of tape with zig-zag scissors and placed it diagonally on my index finger and applied one coat of Storm.

I had so much fun doing this challenge and I also met adorable ladies on the way :D .I leave you today with a blurry pic of Storm to show the holo-ness ;) Please don't forget to go and visit my lovely co-challengers to see what they came up with for this letter Z challenge!
And last but not least, I don't want to overwhelm you with sad stories, but I'd like to ask you for a prayer for all the victims of violence in this world. I live in a troubled country where we daily hear and see of people suffering of violent acts. I ask you from the bottom of my heart, to pray that the hearts of those evil people are enlightened. ;) <3

Peachy's got it!

Hi girls!!! I have been longing for a peach toned mani for months now! Between the challenges and everything else I never seemed to find the time...until now. I apologize for not taking pictures while I did these to make a pictorial.

I did something quirky on every nail so I'll go finger by finger, okay?...am I sounding like a teacher now? hahaha....

Index:
Two coats of Revlon's Brilliant Strength in Provoke and sponged tips with West End Wonderland by Butter London.

Medium:
Two coats of Revlon's Brilliant Strength in Provoke, then I just did one brush stroke in the middle with Salmon and Garfunkel by Catrice. After that, I placed three studs from this Born Pretty Store studs wheel and used nail glue to make sure they stayed on longer.

Ring finger:
This one's tricky. I started off with two coats of Salmon and Garfunkel by Catrice, then I did a "V" shaped tip, a coat of Seche Vite, and when that was dry I used tape to help me form the gold triangle in the middle with Infinity Band by Sally Hansen. This was inspired by this design from Camille @Pshiiit, my idol and the one to blame for the existence of this blog. <3

Pinky:
Two coats of Silk by Petals Beauty Concept and then I formed a V tip overlapping Provoke and Infinity Band.

Thumb: (not very visible on the pics)
Two coats of Salmon and Garfunkel and V tip featuring Provoke and Silk overlapped.

..and that's that.

I hope you liked it and thanks a bunch for visiting ;)

T is for Too Yatch To Handle

Hello girls from all around the world!!! Today it's time for letter "T" on Kimber's Lacquer Korner's ABC Challenge and I chose Too Yatch to Handle by China Glaze, this beautiful turquoise blue I can't stop looking at. It reminds me of the beaches of the Caribbean. *sigh*

However, as much as I love the color of this polish I did have some trouble with the formula. First of all, I have the bad habit of shaking polishes before applying them. Don't blame me! For years and years I've read "Shake Gently" on the bottles and perhaps I forgot about the gently part of it. So probably because of that I ended up with bubbles on some of the nails. If you look close enough, you can even see them in the bottle!
There was also dragging and balding, but after I applied the second coat everything looked better. And after I applied my top coat of choice, Seche Vite, the bubbles were gone :)
On the following two pics you will see two coats of Too Yatch to Handle without top coat.

Hola chicas!

Then I applied two coats of Tart with a Heart by Butter London on my index finger. I stamped my ring finger with the plate Mash-47 and my pinkie with Mash-41 using Shoot the Moon by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. I filled in some of the shapes on the stamp of my ring finger with the colors listed below. I didn't do it perfectly (though I tried lol!!) because I started doing it with a dotting tool. Not the best choice. And then I remembered I have a ton of nail art brushes (duh!), I took the tiniest and then it improved (see the yellow one, for example), but I was too lazy to re-do it all again. So it stayed like that, but either way from afar it looked pretty in my opinion. :D

These are the colors I used to fill the stamping:
Lightest Green: Absolutely Shore- Essie
Purple: Noite Quente- Maybelline Colorama
Yellow: Sunshine Sparkle- Revlon
Mint Green: Highlight of my Summer- China Glaze
Gold: Infinity Band- Sally Hansen Diamond Strength
Pink: Candy- Revlon
Periwinkle: Secret Peri-Winkle- China Glaze

I couldn't capture how beautifully Tart with a Heart glistened with this color base, I really loved it.
Well, that's it for today, I hope you enjoyed looking at this beautiful color :) Have a good day!

Verde claro: Absolutely Shore- Essie
Morado: Noite Quente- Maybelline Colorama
Amarillo: Sunshine Sparkle- Revlon
Verde menta: Highlight of my Summer- China Glaze
Dorado: Infinity Band- Sally Hansen Diamond Strength
Rosa: Candy- Revlon
Azul-morado: Secret Peri-Winkle- China Glaze

Leopardo dorado

Hi girls! Here is a mani I did a few weeks ago, I had left it behind because it is very simple, but I decided to post it for that very same reason!
This is just two coats of White On by Sally Hansen and then I painted some leopard print with Infinity Band also by Sally Hansen since my Essie Good as Gold decided to go and play hide and seek and I can't find it :(
On my ring finger of my left hand I have two coats of West End Wonderland by Butter London.
And that's it! Have a great day! :)

K is for Kimber...of course :)

Hey ladies! Kimber is the name of this awesome pink with gold shimmer polish but also is the name of the lovely lady who started this challenge and put together a great group of nail sisters! She's a devoted blogger, mom and wife :) Her blog is Kimber's Lacquer Korner and there you'll find a huge variety of swatches and most importantly to me, amazing nail art and a great person behind it all. Thanks to her and her challenges I have met even more incredibly nice ladies and she was the first person to ever leave me a comment! :) She holds a special place in my heart, so as a tribute to her, I chose this polish.

Kimber (the polish) has the great formula Zoya's have and it was opaque in two coats. I really loved the application and the smoothness of the finish.

I also did what were supposed to be flowers, but I'm not sure if it's clear enough. I tried to do something similar to the flowers by Tenshi No Hana, it's a french blog. I only know a little French, but it's enough to read a couple french blogs I follow. If you haven't visited this blog, you're missing out on an actual nail artist doing her own nails, don't let the language prevent you from doing so. I swear she draws the cutest flowers! .

I'm feeling lazy to list all the polishes I used, but you can find them in the tags! :P But if you're curious about anything just ask me.
See you soon and thanks for reading! xoxo

Black Gold to Say Bye-Bye to 2012!

Hello nailistas!!! Officially we're on the last hours of the year!!! So this is my last mani of the year as well. ^.^

Lately I've seen this quilted nails technique everywhere! And I think it is really cute, so I grabbed my Ciaté Mini 'paint pots' and got to work. It didn't take as long as I thought and it was pretty easy. I did a pictorial to show you how I did it

1. First of all you must choose your base colors. I used Twilight and on my ring finger Ladylike Luxe both by Ciaté.

2 & 3. Then you stick the striping tape and do the gradient like you normally would.

4. Take off the tape to reveal your quilted nails!

Now on to the finishing touch, the 'caviar pearls' (I used Bumble Bee by Ciaté). I took a tiny plastic recipient and poured a few. Then I applied a coat of clear nail polish to make the surface 'sticky' and then some more on to the dotting tool to pick up the pearls. And that's it! Really quick right?

Now you would think if it is so fast and easy why didn't I do all the nails right?...well, I was lazy to cut a gazillion pieces of striping tape! Besides I really like the way they turned out. I did a simple gradient on my thumb and middle finger. But I realized that when I applied Ladylike Luxe over Twilight it didn't look as yellow, it looked more silver-y, so I picked up West End Wonderland by Butter London to do the gradient instead.
I hope you liked it as much as I did and try it too, you can use any colors you like!

Thank you so much for coming over, my best wishes for the new year 2013, may all your dreams come true! :D

P.S. All the Ciaté mini polishes are from the Ciaté Mini Mani Month advent calendar.

ESPAÑOL:

Hola nailistas!!

31 DAY CHALLENGE DAY 31!!!!: RE-CREATE YOUR FAVORITE CHALLENGE

I can't believe we've reached the end of the challenge girls! Oh my God! It's been three months of non-stop creativity, awesome nail art, pushing challenges and meeting incredible women! I'm so glad I joined!
So to finish up I went for re-creating the Green Nails challenge, not for any particular reason but just because I wanted to wear Just Spotted the Lizard by OPI (Spiderman Collection 2012). This is a very pretty shade, a green with blue and vintage gold metallic duochrome, I also added a coat of one of my super favorite polishes: (drumroll, pleeeeaaase!) TART WITH A HEART! awww this glittery polish is so dreamy!! I love it. It looks like a sugar coat on top of Just Spotted the Lizard. =^.^=

These two pics above were taken under the same artificial light just moving the nails before I applied Tart with a Heart...
And the pic below is on natural light, but already with Tart with a Heart on top.
