Happy Halloween!!!!! Nail art ideas...

Hello!!!! Aargh!!! I hate that I couldn't do this beforehand, because by now you probably already have all your Halloween nails done! :(

 

Anyways, here are two mani ideas. The first ones are Mummy nails! I did these with the spun sugar technique. And the second ones were done by my friend Linda and were oh so cute that I just couldn't help posting them! I was with her when she was wearing these and she got sooooo many compliments on the street! Aren't they great?!

EL MUNDO NO BASTA!

 

 

Hola nailistas! Hoy presentaré otro de los esmaltes de la colección Skyfall de OPI. Este tono se llama: The World is not Enough. Este es uno de esos esmaltes que me encantan porque adoro los grises!! y este en particular se ha convertido en mi favorito!! :)

 

Al principio me decepcionó un poco porque no es muy opaco. De hecho es un tono traslúcido de fórmula delgada, en estas fotos se muestra con 4 capas. Lo bueno es que seca muy, muy rápido porque si no sí sería un martirio aplicarlo.

Lo apliqué en la sombra lo cual no me permitió deslumbrarme cuando terminé, pero apenas salí al sol para ver que pasaba y WOW!!!! este esmalte es mágico!
 

 

En la sombra se ve solo como un plateado oscuro metálico...padre... pero hasta cierto punto "equis", pero en el sol destellan todos esos micro-brillos morados, verdes, plateados que contiene...y oh...me enamore, en verdad que sí. De hecho en el sol se ve morado.

Ojalá mis fotos le hicieran justicia pero fue imposible enfocarlo en el ángulo correcto debido a que brillaba tanto. Aún así puse las fotos borrosas para que puedan ver un poquito como es...pero no lo podrán apreciar bien más que en persona. Lo siento.
 

RETO DE 31 DÍAS Dia 10: GRADIENT...?

Hi ladies!! It's friday night! am I the only one here at the computer? :( hope not! Today the challenge presents Inspired by a Flag. But as you probably remember, I'm lazy and I traded it for the gradient challenge at the time because it was Independence day here in Mexico and I didn't want to have to do a flag again, so I owe you.

 

The original idea was to do a glitter gradient, but as I applied the glitter I liked it more as a french mani. So I guess I will stay in debt!

 

 I wanted to use one of my OPI Skyfall Collection polishes because starting today we can go to the movies and watch this film!

Hola, holaaa!! Bueno, van a decir dia 10 queeee?? jajaja pero lo que pasa es que cuando tocaba el reto del degradado fue el día de la independencia de Mexico y yo quería traer mi maicure patriota y mi flojera y falta de tiempo tambien, no me permitio hacer ambas cosas al mismo tiempo asi que los intercambie. Es por eso que hoy les presento el degradado (gradient) aaaaunqueee.....mmm....no me quedo tan "degradado".

La idea era hacer un degradado de glitter (brillos) pero al hacerlo me di cuenta que me gustaba más como tipo punta francesa. Asi que así quedo, espero les guste y les quedo debiendo el degradado. 









 

Tambien hoy que se estrena la película Skyfall, quise usar uno de los esmaltes de la coleccion de OPI en honor a estas películas.

El tono de brillos es de esta coleccion se llama: The Living Daylights. Consiste en glitters medianos-grandes dorados, plateados, cobrizos y azules, en persona parece la cola de una sirena, esta bellísimo. Me parece que esta coleccion no esta disponible aun en México, pero estoy segura que pronto llegará.

El tono base se llama Did you 'ear about Van Gogh?, es un tono beige hermosisimo!! No solo eso sino que todo facilita la aplicacion! la formula perfectamente cremosa, la brocha perfecta y muy buena cobertura! casi, casi que con una capa queda solo q para que quede super bien aplique dos.

bueno, me encanto tanto que le tomé unas fotos solito...antes de aplicar el glitter. Este tono no pertenece a la coleccion Skyfall, es de la coleccion Holland. 

Terminé con una capa de Seche Vite para proteger los brillos (de que no se despeguen) y darle mucho, mucho brillo!

RETO DE 31 DÍAS Día 26: INSPIRADO EN EL ARTE

Hi ladies! I couldn't post this yesterday this week has been a bit busy, but today I finally found the time to do a quick post. The topic is inspired by artwork and since I'm not the best at drawing on my nails (we've all seen that! Lol) I figured I'd just try the watercolor manicure tutorial.

This is a fun technique but very messy! Let's see how it turned out!

Hola chicas! Como están?! Ayer ya no pude publicar este tema pero hoy al fin encontré el tiempo. Como no soy la mejor dibujando en mis uñas, me y les... ahorré la pena de tener q ver un intento de imitación de arte en mis uñas jaja. Así q opte por probar la técnica de acuarela. Y así resulto:

Sunshine Sparkle- Revlon

Todos ellos como siempre precedidos por Nail Envy de OPI (la mejor base del MUNDO!!) y terminados con Seche Vite. Es impresionante como trabaja el Seche Vite, seca mucho mas rapido todas las capas que hayas puesto! Es muy util cuando uno tiene prisa y no puedes estar esperando media hora a que se sequen tus uñas (o sea... siempre! jaja)

RETO DE 31 DIAS Día 25: INSPIRADO EN UN PATRÓN

Hi lovely ladies!! It's a rainy day here, perfect to stay at home and do my nails ;) I'm now only one day behind my fellow challengers. Today I should be posting 'inspired by artwork', but that will have to be tomorrow!

 

One of my favorite patterns is paisley... it reminds me of all things boho I guess that's why! :D...so I stamped this pattern from Bundle Monster's plate BM-315 with Essie's Good as Gold over my base Revlon's 820 Stormy.

 

And just a quick reminder to NEVER pull the skin of a peeling cuticle with your teeth!!! I know, gross right? well that's the bloody catastrophe you see on my middle finger and boy does it hurt!

 

 

 

Hola! Hoy les presento el tema 'inspirado por un estampado'. No sé con certeza como se le llama a este estampado en español, según el diccionario dice 'cachemir' pero yo cachemir lo entiendo como un tipo de tela, no de estampado...¿estaré mal? :S diganme por fa!

 

Bueno como sea que se llame estoy segura de que lo reconocen no? Lo hemos visto en todos los paliacates! jaja

 

Este es uno de mis estampados preferidos asi q lo elegí. Para lograr este look usé como base Stormy de Revlon y con la placa de Bundle Monster BM-315 y Good as Gold de Essie hice este stamping.

RETO DE 31 DIAS Día 24: INSPIRADO EN LA MODA

Yes!... I'm starting off this week trying to catch up with the challenge! I did a pause on it because of Halloween and Dead's Day-themed manis :P but I'm back! Hello! :)

 

So today I'm doing Inspired by fashion. Ever since the challenge started I knew what I wanted to do for this topic: Olivia Wilde's dress. This dress is by Oscar de la Renta and I love it!... but as I finished my mani I realized it was a little plain. So I took the hot pink ribbon that Gisele had on a similar dress that I also loved and added it to my nails with striping tape to make it pop!

Hola chicas! al fin me estoy empezando a poner al corriente con el reto! pfff...me atrasé por aquello de los festejos de la semana pasada que me inspiraron otros manicures diferentes a los q tenía q hacer para el reto, pero he vuelto! 

Desde que vi este tema en el reto, supe que quería hacer el vestido de los Golden Globes 2011 de Olivia Wilde! Me parece precioso y facil de adaptar al nail art. Pero al terminar se me hizo algo simple asi que le agregué el listón rosa que lleva el vestido de Gisele para darle un toque de color!

Día de Muertos!

Hola a todos!!! Hoy les presento este manicure que hice para el día de muertos. Hice un degradado morado y al final con stamping puse una calaverita y sus flores. Es la primera vez que hago stamping!! No quedo muy bien pero bueno por algo se empieza, veamos!!
