Lights of Emerald City

Hey lovely girls! Today I'm sharing with you Lights of Emerald City by OPI from the recent collection inspired by the movie Oz The Great and Powerful. I paired it with three coats of China Glaze's Oxygen.  This is one of the softest hues I've worn in months! I missed my neutrals!
Oxygen is a pink leaning off-white that I totally love!

Hola adorables chicas!
Me encanta!

Lights of Emerald City is pure chunky square glitter both white (large) and iridescent (medium) suspended in a clear base. It's not as dense as I thought so I decided to apply it with a sponge to avoid applying several coats to get out this amount of glitters! I applied them on the tips only. Since it is quite chunky and the squares' edges can be a bit sharp, I put on two coats of Seche Vite.

I enjoyed so much wearing this office-friendly manicure that it stayed on for four long days!
Thanks for visiting, have a great day :)

V is for Valerie

Hello girls! Wednesday once again so it's challenge time! This week: letter V, for Valerie by Zoya, an untried. I gotta say as lovely as this shade is, it was also a bit disappointing. This one was on my wish list for a long time and when I saw the bottle I was like 'ohh yeah...georgeousness!!!' ...But, not so much on the nails. First of all it looks a lot darker and the golden glass fleck effect is not very visible at all. I think it's a burgundy that looks more like a dark red on the bottle, and it looks a lot more purple on the nails. Am I crazy?

Hola chicas!

Anyways, the formula is Zoya perfection, not too thin, not too thick, just perfect! It applied evenly in two coats and it's opaque enough to be a one coater. It's not as glossy, so it looks better with topcoat on. I'd also recommend to wrap your tips when wearing this one because otherwise it shows wear in a matter of hours. I stared at my nails looking for the gold speckles but they were nowhere to be found outside of the bottle.

Here's a blurry pic so you can see the pretty shimmers under the sun.

This is how it looks most of the time:
Así se ve casi todo el tiempo:

Valerie in the bottle is breathtaking, no doubt!
Valerie dentro de la botella es divino. De eso no hay duda!

Galactic Gray

*For English or other languages please translate this page with the sidebar button, thanks!!!

Hola chicas!

Square Laser Purple Studs!

Hi girls! Happy Friday! :D I'm very excited to show you these studs that I received for review. They are from KKCenterHK which you may already know is a beauty online store. They sell everything from lashes and wigs to clothes -of course nail products in between, too!- I chose these studs because I had never seen anything like them. They have this 3D look as if there was glitter suspended in them, they really catch your eye.

I decided to pair them with this beautiful lilac I recently bought called Lily by Revlon Top Speed. Then on my ring finger I painted a thick line in the center with No Place Like Chrome by Essie and on top of that I placed the studs with nail glue. They stayed on perfectly for three days. And as you can see on the photos, they lay flat on the nail and aren't bulky, so they are absolutely comfortable to wear. ;)
Something I discovered when I removed them was that after being in contact with acetone, these became regular square silver studs.  Haha! So, you pretty much have two products in one because you can totally re-use them!

On the pic below, you can see the package which in my case, contains 46 studs (trust me, I counted one by one!). I know, it doesn't look like it, I guess the bag is a little big for the tiny studs! hehe.

If you liked them, click here for the link to the page where you can buy them. They also have them in rectangular shape and many other pretty studs. You should go and check them out. :)

If you see shimmer in my index...no, you're not hallucinating! I put on a coat of Ciaté's Halo...
Boy! that stinks so bad!!!!

I really liked the end result and I hope you enjoyed them and use the coupon code NAILISTAYCO to get 10% off your purchase. Buh-bye!

=^.^=

Hola!

U is for Universe

Hi girls! Today is time for letter U on our ABC Challenge. I admit, U was hard. I only have ONE polish with U, this one: Universe, from the Revlon Nail Art Moon Candy duos and I really wasn't feeling it, I only put it on for the challenge's sake and took it off . It's not that I don't like it, it's more that right now I don't feel like wearing brown...it'll be great for fall though!

So here it is, Universe has a delicious chocolate brown with red undertones as a base -that should be called Hershey cause I swear it looks like the chocolate!-  and then some gold flakies to put on top. Back when I got it, Zoya's Gilty was all over the place and this seemed like a decent (and cheap!) substitute. Of course, they're not even close to dupes, this one has trasluscent flakies and Gilty is really (and real!) gold... but it works fine for me.
On the pics I'm wearing two coats of the base and only one diagonal coat of flakies sealed in with a coat of Seche Vite.

That's gonna be it for today! See you soon and thanks for visiting! xoxo

Hola chicas!

Besos y abrazos. Linda tarde!

Chroma Chameleon: Aquamarine

Follow my blog with Bloglovin
Hello everybody! Today I'm going to show you Aquamarine from the Chroma Chameleon collection by Revlon. These are my first duochromes (aside from Just Spotted the Lizard by OPI) so I was super excited when I found these, even when I wasn't looking for them! I remember seeing the display on one of the display posts that Karen from Frazzle and Aniploish does, but I never paid too much attention. Here's a pic of all the collection except one. Rose gold. But Rose Gold and Gold are pretty similar.

Suena padre no?.

I'm sorry I had to take the first pic from another blog but I wanted to show you these beautiful colors on a photo that was close to reality, unlike many I found! And I only got the last four from left to right on the photo. I would've wanted Tanzanite too but I just couldn't find it.
I've read bad reviews on these but I don't know why. Yes they are more expensive than regular Revlons and they contain less product but to me they're totally worth it. I already tried Pink Quartz as well. But truth is I don't have another duochromatic collection to compare them to. I missed the Luster Chromes last year!
When I opened the bottle I was like 'ugh, I'll have to do four coats' because the formula is so thin and it seems to be sheer, but no it isn't. It was surprisingly opaque in two coats. It does leave some streaky marks -like any metallic- but its not that noticeable in real life.
Okay! so on to the pics! I'm wearing two coats of Aquamarine and then I put on a coat of Fairy Dust by China Glaze.

Enjoy what's left of your weekend. Hugs and kisses!!!
Besos, que la pasen bien este dominguito! :D

Aquamarine

Look at that bottle!

This polish -like the mirror- has two faces ;)

T is for Too Yatch To Handle

Hello girls from all around the world!!! Today it's time for letter "T" on Kimber's Lacquer Korner's ABC Challenge and I chose Too Yatch to Handle by China Glaze, this beautiful turquoise blue I can't stop looking at. It reminds me of the beaches of the Caribbean. *sigh*

However, as much as I love the color of this polish I did have some trouble with the formula. First of all, I have the bad habit of shaking polishes before applying them. Don't blame me! For years and years I've read "Shake Gently" on the bottles and perhaps I forgot about the gently part of it. So probably because of that I ended up with bubbles on some of the nails. If you look close enough, you can even see them in the bottle!
There was also dragging and balding, but after I applied the second coat everything looked better. And after I applied my top coat of choice, Seche Vite, the bubbles were gone :)
On the following two pics you will see two coats of Too Yatch to Handle without top coat.

Hola chicas!

Then I applied two coats of Tart with a Heart by Butter London on my index finger. I stamped my ring finger with the plate Mash-47 and my pinkie with Mash-41 using Shoot the Moon by Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure. I filled in some of the shapes on the stamp of my ring finger with the colors listed below. I didn't do it perfectly (though I tried lol!!) because I started doing it with a dotting tool. Not the best choice. And then I remembered I have a ton of nail art brushes (duh!), I took the tiniest and then it improved (see the yellow one, for example), but I was too lazy to re-do it all again. So it stayed like that, but either way from afar it looked pretty in my opinion. :D

These are the colors I used to fill the stamping:
Lightest Green: Absolutely Shore- Essie
Purple: Noite Quente- Maybelline Colorama
Yellow: Sunshine Sparkle- Revlon
Mint Green: Highlight of my Summer- China Glaze
Gold: Infinity Band- Sally Hansen Diamond Strength
Pink: Candy- Revlon
Periwinkle: Secret Peri-Winkle- China Glaze

I couldn't capture how beautifully Tart with a Heart glistened with this color base, I really loved it.
Well, that's it for today, I hope you enjoyed looking at this beautiful color :) Have a good day!

Verde claro: Absolutely Shore- Essie
Morado: Noite Quente- Maybelline Colorama
Amarillo: Sunshine Sparkle- Revlon
Verde menta: Highlight of my Summer- China Glaze
Dorado: Infinity Band- Sally Hansen Diamond Strength
Rosa: Candy- Revlon
Azul-morado: Secret Peri-Winkle- China Glaze
