E is for Everything that Glitters

 

Hey dear nailistas! For today’s challenge I chose Everything that Glitters by MAC. This is my first MAC polish, merely because it’s the only one that has really caught my eye. It was love at first sight with this baby, the only thing that made me hesitate was the price, but luckily my birthday was coming and my grandma gave it to me! J

It was really the last chance to get it because it belongs to the Glamour Daze Collection and the salesperson told me that it won’t be restocked…I’m not sure about that but I didn’t want to take any chances!

It is surprisingly opaque in two thin coats. It does have a gritty finish but with a coat or two of topcoat it’ll be ok (I’m only wearing one in the pics). Sans topcoat it looks a bit like “liquid sand”. I was amazed by all the different colored glitters it contains, in the bottle you can see mostly turquoise and purple glitter but I swear on the nail I saw gold and red too…even green ones!...maybe the lighting?...The glitters are suspended in a black jelly base which makes it all dry superquick. It did chip on the third day though, but I wouldn’t blame it, I’ve noticed that most of these glitter packed polishes often do.  

Overall, I ADORED this polish! It is sooo pretty!!!

Hola nailistas!! Para el reto de hoy les presento Everything that Glitters de MAC. Es mi primer esmalte de MAC simplemente porque es el único que en verdad ha llamado mi atención. Trato de no comprar esmaltes “carísimos” como este a menos de que en verdad sea único. Y tuve suerte, como ya venía mi cumpleaños mi abuelita se ofeció a regalármelo y pues tuve que aceptar! J jiji

Pertenece a la colección Glamour Daze y según el vendedor ya no lo van a resurtir así que no quise arriesgarme.

Tiene muy buena cobertura, solo dos capas y listo. Su acabado es algo “rugoso” pero nada que una o dos capas de topcoat no solucionen. Me sorprendio la cantidad de glitters de diferentes colores que contiene, a primera vista saltan el morado y el azul pero ya en la uña les juro que yo vi dorado y rojo... también verdes!…quizá producto de la iluminación. Los glitters están suspendidos en una base jelly negra y eso hace que seque muy rápido. Lo que sí no les voy a mentir, comenzó a descarapelarse el tercer día pero me he dado cuenta que esto pasa a menudo con estos esmaltes cargados de brillos.

En general amé este esmalte, es tan lindo!!!! ;)
