RETO DE 31 DÍAS Día 22: INSPIRADO EN UNA CANCION

Well hello ladies!! Happy Monday! :) For someone who loves music as much as I do, I should have done something amazing, but I had problems translating a song into nail art...probably because I don't really enjoy a lot of literal nail art on my own nails! I like it on other people and it stuns me every time I see it but I just don't feel very comfy wearing it.

Also, I couldn't decide which was my fave song, cause there are so many!!!....So I did this: a couple weeks ago I couldn't get off of my head the song Oh Love by Green Day, so I felt inspired (more by the name of the band than the song itself!) and tried this new nail polish I got called Black/Green from Love & Beauty by Forever21 but I felt a little disappointed that it looks mostly black :( . So I made the tips green with beautiful Voodoo by LA Colors Color Craze to try to make the green glitter stand out a bit more.

 

These uneven tips make me think of punk hair so it goes perfectly well with my song!!! I hope you enjoyed it! ;)

Hooola chicas! Feliz inicio de semana! Hoy el tema era inspirarnos en una canción pero me costo un poco de trabajo. Quizá porque no me siento muy cómoda con el nail art muy literal o gráfico...y tampoco podia elegir una cancion! ....pero en fin.

Hace unas semanas traía pegada la canción Oh Love de Green Day, así que acabe inspirándome en el nombre de la banda Green Day ( Día Verde) y ocupe estos esmaltes que no puedo creer q no había usado!! El primero es Black/Green de Love & Beauty by Forever21 que en la botella se ve divino pero ya en la uña es difícil apreciar los brillos verdes :( así q los hice resaltar con otro verde: Voodoo de LA Colors Color Craze.
A mi me parece q el resultado final se asemeja a unos cabellos punk así q pienso q encaja perfecto con la canción que elegí ;) espero les haya gustado!

RETO DE 31 DIAS Dia 21: INSPIRADO EN UN COLOR

Hi everyone! I guess it's pretty obvious why I chose pink. October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month (as if you didn't know already by now!) and I hadn't done any pink manis so here it is.

Pink is also my favorite color so....It was easy to choose!

I used DS Reserve from the Designer Series by OPI, I don't need to tell you how amazingly gorgeous this polish is, just look at it!!!

Hola! Para el tema de hoy elegí el rosa. Como ya saben en este mes se busca hacer conciencia sobre el cáncer de mama y además es mi color favorito :).

Diganme si no les encantó este esmalte??.... A poco no esta increíble??
Yo me enamoré, se ve precioso, brilla muchísimo y no hay nada más femenino no creen? Se llama DS Reserve es de la colección Designer Series de OPI.

Nada que decir de la fórmula que es perfecta! Ni muy gruesa ni muy delgada, con 2 capas queda súper bien, seca rápido....en fin una belleza! A disfrutar viéndola!!

RETO DE 31 DIAS Dia 20: Water Marble!!!!!

Hello girls!!! Oh my God! This really was a CHALLENGE for me, I wish I could say I nailed it at the first, second or third try but no....it took me seven tries!!!!! O.o

I apologize for not posting this yesterday but I refused to post something I wasn't proud of, so after not succeeding yesterday, I decided to wait until today to give it one more shot and I'm finally happy with how they turned out!

ESPAÑOL:

Hola chicas!!! Ya estoy al fin de regreso en casita y regrese a enfrentarme con el truculento "water marble". Este reto si que me fue difícil! Ya había intentado hacerlo una vez con mi cuñada y no pudimos, o sea q sabía q me iba a costar trabajo pero no imagine que tanto!!! Lo hice 6 veces antes de que me quedara bien!!! Si, ahora si que: fue horrible, fue horrible!! Jajajaja pero valió la pena, a la séptima lo logre!
Parte de lo que hace difícil esto es que algunos esmaltes no cooperan porque no se expanden bien en el agua, también la flojera de uno que no quiere hacer uña por uña yo quería meter los 5 dedos de una vez y no, no queda bien así.
Yo he visto infinidad de vídeos pero aún así me quedaban dudas, así q les daré algunos tips:
-Primero, te recomiendo q uses un vasito desechable porque quedara todo manchado de esmalte.
- Para los esmaltes que no tienen muy buena cobertura es mejor que eches 2 gotas
- El esmalte debe esparcirse en la superficie, pero no pasa nada si se te va una gota al fondo, simplemente echa otra gota rápidamente.
- Debes usar agua purificada
- Puedes reciclar el agua. O sea: no es necesario q vacíes el vaso cada vez que pintes otra uña. Lo haces, quitas el esmalte sobrante y sobre esa misma agua vuelves a echar las gotitas para la uña siguiente. De hecho no se porque pero va quedando mejor al usar esa agua ;)

RETO DE 31 DÍAS Día 19: GALAXY NAILS! Nueva tecnica para quitar esmalte con glitter incluida!!!

Hello sweeties!! Galaxy nails are definitely one of my favorite ones. It is so much fun to try to re-create the beauty of the universe! My version of them this time looks more like a night sky, but they are beautiful to me! Funny that the topic today is galaxy nails and I will be catching a plane in a couple hours! (so this is a scheduled post, you caught me!!)

 

I took this chance to try the PVA glue basecoat technique. It worked out fine, but it still weirds me out! I guess I just have to try it again. If you haven't read about it you can do it here. It was hard to capture all the glitter on camera, but in person these galaxy nails shined like crazy! =^.^=

 

ESPAÑOL!

 

Buen día chicas! Hoy el tema son las galaxias en las uñas. Me parece muy divertido tratar de imitar la belleza del espacio....aaaahhhh!!! (suspiro) ;P

Como iba a usar mucho glitter aproveche para probar esta técnica nueva que descubrieron las chicas australianas: usar pegamento blanco como basecoat...que tal? Se supone que hace más facil quitar el esmalte de brillos o glitter, si los has usado, sabes de lo que estoy hablando. Se ven increíbles pero quitarlos en una tortura!! Con esta técnica se facilita mucho.

 

Lo primero es el pegamento, yo use el de la foto, que es SUPER conocido en México. Con un pincel aplica una capa (yo recomiendo que sea algo gruesa) de pegamento, con cuidado de que no toque la piel porque eso haría que no te dure mucho tu esmalte. Si accidentalmente se extiende el pegamento a la piel limpialo antes de que seque, debe quedar solo en la uña. Tarda en secar,como 5 minutos o un poco más, sabrás cuando se seque porque se volverá transparente.

 

 

Ya que seque estas lista para aplicar tu esmalte de glitter preferido. Y cuando lo quieras retirar lo puedes hacer con tus propias uñas o con ayuda de un palillo. A mi me quedaron rastros de esmalte en las orillas que removí con quitaesmalte.

Puedo decir que el pegamento sobrevive al agua o sea que sí se puede usar bien esta técnica en el día a día y sin peligro porque el pegamento no es tóxico.

Definitivamente si es fácil de quitar el glitter con esta técnica pero no sé, no me hago a la idea de ponerme pegamento!... se me hace raro! Quizá debo hacerlo de nuevo...me recuerda mucho a unos esmaltes que sacó Lancôme hace varios años ya...(ahem, ahem, revelé mi edad? jaja!!) que se quitaban así, arrancándolos.

Estrellas: 360- Bissú

Glitter Holográfico: 551 Fairy Dust- China Glaze

RETO DE 31 DIAS Día 16: TRiBAL PRiNT

 

Hey lovelies!! Today's challenge is Tribal print. I didn't know what exactly to do with this one and I didn't have a lot of time to do research so I just did the first thing that popped to my head! I had bought in advance a black nail polish pen that came sooo handy for this, I really don't know if it had been so easy to do without it.

 

 

EN ESPAÑOL:

Hola chicas!!! el tema de hoy es estampado "tribal"? mmm...no sé si existe esa palabra, pero ustedes me entienden no? jijiji y esto fue lo que se me ocurrio hacer. Lo hice con mucha prisa!, fue lo primero que se me vino a la mente, espero les guste:

 

 

Y como dicen en las entregas de premios: "nada de esto hubiera sido posible sin..." mi plumita de esmalte negro!!. Desde que vi que venía este tema en el reto andaba buscando esta pluma, estuve yendo a los Sanborn's que creo es el único lugar donde había visto que vendían unas plumas de Sally Hansen, pero solo tenían colores claros y aparte estaban carísimas. Hasta que se me ocurrió ir al centro de la ciudad y en un localito encontre esta belleza en 35 pesos!! Wow!

RETO DE 31 DIAS Día 15: DELICATE PRINT

Hey girls!! Oh, I have to start by apologizing because I didn't have time to do something new for this challenge. I guess if I had my stamping equipment it would have been very easy to pull something off but since I don't have it already (only 2 more weeks to go!! yay!! ) ...I was a bit lazy to do nail art by hand this time. :(
So... I will present something I did before I started the blog,  I saw this look a while ago on this website and I liked it a lot, I tried it and took pictures and even showed them off on some facebook pages of people I follow ^^. Here it is:

The word delicate makes me think of either flowers or hearts (I guess because it is commonly associated to all things femenine :P) and since we just did flowers, I went for the hearts. I hope you liked it :)

Hooolaaaa!! Antes que nada les pido una disculpa porque no tuve tiempo de hacer algo nuevo para este reto. Hubiera querido hacer algo de stamping pero todavía no tengo mi equipo! así que lo único que se me ocurrió fue presentarles este look que hice antes de iniciar el blog. Lo vi en este sitio, me encantó y lo probé. De hecho hasta lo publiqué en unas páginas de facebook!
Si visitas la página verás que viene como hacerlas, es sencillo, solo tienes que conseguir etiquetas redondas y entrelazarlas para crear el corazon.
